Macbeth and Banquo Paragraph

Friendship and noble-tie is more than greed. A foil is a character that follows the same path as the protagonist but makes different decisions. Banquo and Macbeth help each other in many ways but Banquo is usually the person who gets Macbeth out of trouble and onto the right path. Banquo is a perfect foil to Macbeth. You shall be king. Banquo follows Macbeth everywhere and he is his most noble friend. even though he is not king and he is more like family to Macbeth he still obeys and helps Macbeth with the situation he is in. He is not jealous but he is brave and proud of him. That, trusted home, Might yet enkindle you unto the crown, Besides the thane of Cawdor. But ’tis strange. And oftentimes, to win us to our harm, The instruments of darkness tell us truths, Win us with honest trifles, to betray ’s In deepest consequence. He helps Macbeth with the difficult decisions he has to pass. He is giving Macbeth advice on what to do and telling him about what he should change in what he said, correcting him of his mistakes.
Banquo has not only been worked up on the same path as Macbeth but he also chooses to do things differently. Banquo always helps Macbeth with the problems he has to conquer and is being a true and a kind friend to someone who most people would be jealous of.

paragraph link a growing character

Link is a very on going character that never stops no matter what! he had downfalls all through the book 'Stone Cold'.link never gives up and keeps going. Link gets kicked out of his house by his step-father Vince. Link had a difficult time after he was kicked out of his house, but instead of giving up he perseveres by going to London to find a place to get a jobs. That was a big step for someone who was just thrown out of his house and has not experienced homelessness. Ginger is killed by shelter whilst trying to find link. link is left alone on the streets of London and he now has to idea what to do. he waits, taps, sleeps alone still hoping for a sign of ginger but he never appears for a long time until Gail comes along and he realizes that he has a new friend. in the log time he waited he never gave up on trying to find ginger and now that he was with Gail he had ambition to keep going.
These are some reasons of why link is a growing character despite the fact that his whole life is spiralling downwards.

should i give money?

Should i give money?

Hook:
Homeless people get arrested.

Introduction:
Giving money to homeless people is the wrong thing to do. Many homeless people get money and don't use it for surviving  only for pleasured purposes. Again here I said MANY not all. Some of the homeless people use the money for food, drinks and new clothes. The most helpful thing to do hear is to give them food or healthy drinks.
Thesis:

Example:
Metropolitan police find 70-80% of people begging on the capital’s streets.

Explanation:
The homeless beg or as said tap on the streets for money that they need to eat, drink, new clothes, basically survive. Most homeless people get arrested in the capital because they know its were most people are, but luck for money may also mean suffering the consequences.

Example:
Taking class A drugs such as crack cocaine and heroin, and in Birmingham all 43 people arrested in a crackdown on begging tested positive.

Explanation:
Most homeless people take drugs because they think it makes them feel better and more alive, it also makes them think that it will help them get rid of depression and forget the many things that happened to them and that like time that the affect kicks in, so they constantly do it for this purpose.

Conclusion:
In conclusion i think that giving homeless people food and healthy drinks in the best thing to do in this situation, instead of just risking everything by just giving them money and trying to be more careful and intelligent in these kind of position.

Homeless numbers rise paragraph

Hook:
The number of homeless people in England have increased during the past 3 years!

Introduction:
Homeless people have increased during the duration of time, which in this case is 3 years. People have been passing through subways, train stations, bus stops, places near shops and the center and have seen more homeless people coming in constantly.

Thesis:
Homeless people have increased rapidly and there is not enough money to spare for all.

Examples:
Homelessness has increased for three consecutive years.

Explanation:
A major part of the consequences of this happening is because of housing shortages and cuts to benefits (like money). This happens because of limited possibilities for work or jobs, due to different causes of problematic obstacles.

Example:
More people are having to be housed in temporary accommodation, including bed and breakfasts, and increasingly people are being sent outside their own area.
Explanation:
This is because the money that the accommodations are producing comes less from homeless people due to the not working process. This makes it temporary because the place that the owners have bought can not be occupied forever because they may be reserved for other customers.

 Conclusion:
With no place to stay because of no work or jobs, or simply just that they are forced to be thrown out of houses for either family purposes or because of drugs and/or alcohol issues. Many people have been living on the streets.

Ode to a Large Tuna in the Market Paragraph

A fish that is a dark bullet.Ode to a Large Tuna in the Market is a poem written by Pablo Neruda originally wrote in Spanish and translated in English by Robin Robertson. The writing is about the idea of motion throughout the poem. The fish is being described to, as very fast and strong.
Dark bullet, Missile, Grieving Arrow.
The bullet, missile and arrow are three key features that are linked to the poem. This is meaning that all three are motions that the fish is perhaps using, like terms to the general point of the fish's speed, agility and force. They are all metaphors, that are talking about the fish's movement. These motions are telling us about the fish itself and how powerful it is in an simple image for us to imagine. In conclusion the tuna fish is metaphorically very strong and quick in the authors eyes and mind but, as for the reader we/you learned something truly different about a living creature that metaphorically speaking, is about the motion of the fish.

Dark bullet- meaning dark under the sea and fast as a bullet
Missile- meaning very strong, powerful and with speed
Grieving Arrow- on target/on point quick and somewhat dangerous
Sea javelin- defencive, fast and strong
Oiled harpoon- fast, strong and forceful
Torpedo- fast, strong and powerful
The motion of the fish is being described using the words of the examples like dark bullet, missile, greiving arrow, etc. This meaning that the fish had strong agility and has great and powerful force.
For all 6 examples there basically all mean the same thing but the poet uses synonyms of repetition in the words to show once again its Power.

Paragraph 1 DARK BULLET
The poet wrote the word dark bullet to represent how fast and dangerous (metaphorically) the fish can be. The word dark comes from under the water where the sea is very dark and mysterious. The word bullet comes from the power, strength and force the fish has.

Paragraph 2 MISSILE
The poet wrote the word missile in the poem because of the many things the poet thinks the fish and the missile have in common. Like for example the fish and the bullet cam dodge barriers very quickly and the agility of creature and the object are very similar. The missile is a very strong weapon whilst the tuna is very forceful (metaphorically speaking for the fish.)

Paragraph 3 GREIVING ARROW

Paragraph 4 SEA JAVELIN

Paragraph 5 OILED HARPOON

Paragraph 6 TORPEDO

Symbolic poem

The Old Oak tree

Oh I am but a simple leaf
         withering within the gutter
         one summer of bliss
         now! Just an autumn flutter.

                   For some; destine to fall
                   upon stony ground, a part
                   of life’s infernal gyration.
                   Yet for those that fall
                   within your reach, to live
                   on within your soul!

         While limbs that stretch
         towards the solstice, create
vivacious veins as channels of hope,
         a pledge of foliation continues
         to endure what spring has
         furnished; autumn expires.

Yes! If we can but learn
                   from nature’s complex simplicity,
that life be of a cycle
from the seed we are conceived,
then let spring be my beginning
                   winter my exultant eve!

         Let our two cultures
         merge as one, the
         decomposed humus
         to become the sustenance;
         our transfusion the
         new beginning.

                   Let us breathe the
                   fragrance of born again;
                   let each slender limb,
                   stout body bear our
                   tenaciousness, each lyrical
                   leaf our life’s blood.

          Let us mollycoddle each
precious tear that falls from a
          angry sky; dance gracefully
          upon the wind, embrace
          on moonless nights, bathe
           in summer madness.

Let us hear the bluebell call,
                   the daffodil pray, the apple
                   blossom bear witness; the
                   clamour of the field mouse
                   the pitapat of the butterfly
the silence of lovers in love.

Let us be sanctuary to the
             symbolic songstress, scuttling
             squirrel, vulgar urchin;
             a fortress for the warrior
             a haven for the pacifist
             an inspiration for the poet!

Character
Man vs man
Man vs himself
Man vs technology
Man vs society
Man vs nature
2 types of character

Flat
- caricature (1 but over the top)
-archetype (2-3 characteristics)
The landlady

Billy thinks that the landlady is a caricature (crazy old lady) but the reader knows she's in a archetype (kind but also a killer). But by the end we realize she's a round character.

Billy

- polite/honest
- trusting
When you trust others
- curious
When you really want to know a lot of things
- naive
Innocent

Landlady
- secretive
- sweet
- manipulative
The landlady is to billy as the a spiderweb to a bug.

Round
Archetype change = growing character
Conflict = change

Imagist poem

What if nature suddenly just stopped?

If it stalled in Winter time
all would soon come to an end
as plant life and animals disappeared
we would end up in a barren land.

In Spring a little better

The lands would flourish
yet plants remain tiny
needing the summer sun
to thrive and grow.

Summer a disaster

No young foliage
to grow on.
The greenery stagnant
with no new growth.

Autumn the time of plenty

Without the summer crops
the trees and fields are barren
no wheat waving in the breeze
just a landscape of emptiness.

And so life ends
